Some few nights ago, a group of us escaped the humdrum of rubbing elbows with Urban Mo's patrons. Hungry, we skimmed ethnic restaurant after ethnic restaurant, passing up Thai, Vietnamese, and Chinese food establishments, in favor of City Deli to appease the finicky eaters in the group. There was salad for the dieter, chicken pot pie for the anti-ethnic friend, yogurt and fresh strawberries for the post-op plastic surgery fiend, ham and cheese mish mash for the breakfast addict, and a chicken sandwich for the lover of all things chicken. We downed a good portion of our entrees and, as soon as the food settled into our system, discarded the rest. The ambiance at City Deli is fun, filled with loud personalities, graphic stories, and outrageous attitudes.
I will visit you again, City Deli, for your indiscriminate food and timeless charm. I know I can count on you to finish a night of revelry, if not for memorable food, at least for good fun. |
