Burger Lounge

American Fare

burger lounge Wall Street La Jolla

Amongst the typified elitist central of Downtown La Jolla, where the myriad of maitre d's in the surrounding Goliath-esque restaurants will tend to skim over casually-dressed patrons, sits the premium-burger oasis Burger Lounge. Refreshingly accessible and friendly, Burger Lounge is heralded for its "certified green" philosophy, from their burgers made from organic grass-fed cows to their refrigerated trucks fueled by recycled cooking oils.

At almost $8 a burger, three times more costly than its fast food counterpart, there is little comparison. Burger Lounge's grilled lounge burger patty is thick, juicy, and tender; its perfectly-seasoned beef slab is cooked from a medium to a medium-well temperature, producing a slightly pink patty center. The burger bun is buttery and soft, the lettuce and tomatoes are fresh and crisp, and each order is delivered to the table on a white serving platter, an efficient method to minimize clean-up.

The restaurant servers are attentive and courteous and will stop by every ten minutes to ensure the customer is not without napkins, a drink refill, or utensils. Burger Lounge is great for a relaxing lunch on the patio, observing passersby, or an early dinner, followed by a slow walk through the downtown district of La Jolla.
